OFP Rates
How can I test OFP before I buy?
You can test OFP by making calls that are not charged for, to other OFP users.

Why buy OFP credit if OFP is free?
Calls to other OFP users and instant messaging are free and OFP does not charge for these services. OFP credit is required to make calls to people who do not have OFP and OFP must connect to the network of their service provider.

What is Data Usage of OFP?

For a OFP to OFP call, data usage averages about 4.8MB per HOUR or 80KB per minute. OFP uses about 44kb per day if you remained logged in without making any calls. Most of this data is just to keep the connection alive, so nothing big is ever being sent. Hope that's small enough for you.

What currencies does OFP support?
Currently, OFP is purchased in USD. Other currencies are converted to USD according the exchange rates at the time of purchase. OFP is working hard to provide prices in other currencies.

How long are credits valid for?
OFP credits are valid for till the time your subscription is active.

You may install your IP Phone by following the instructions of IP Phone manufacturer. It gets connected to OFP network by entering the SIP address as: SIP99.ourfreephone.com . After this you may enter your OFP username and password and enjoy the power of OFP. We recommend Linksys, D-link, Gladstream and Cisco Phones.

Protecting your OFP Account
Your OFP account is protected by an alphanumeric password of at least 6 characters. For your convenience, OFP remembers your username and password for future use. Should you lose your mobile phone, it is critical that you login into your OFP account online and change your password, or send an email to the OFP team to prevent unauthorised use of your account.

Buying OFP Credit

You can currently only buy OFP Credit using a Visa or Mastercard credit card or using the money what gets accumulated in your EWallet. You can buy from the www.ourfreephone.com website by logging into the website and selecting Buy OFP credit. OFP is working hard to support more payment methods to make it easier for you to purchase OFP credit. OFP credit is not required for calls to other OFP users as this is free.

Costs of using OFP
OFP does not charge for calls made to other users within the OFP community, (with the exception of OFP Lite) and offers this as a free service. Calls made to persons outside of the OFP community are charged for at the applicable rates. OFP uses the internet connection on your mobile phone to provide you with its great services. You are therefore charged by your service provider when using GPRS/3G and in the case of Wi-Fi, you may be charged by the third party providing you with the Wi-Fi connection. OFP is constantly looking to be more efficient so as to minimise your internet data costs

If want to check which connection is being used right now, you can select Current Connection instead of Switch Connection.

Manage Connections
You can tell OFP how to manage your preferred internet access points automatically. Your list of preferred internet access points or connections is called your HotList. You can add your preferred connections to the HotList by changing the status of your internet access point to be HotListed.

Then you log into OFP, OFP will automatically attempt to login using the access point at the top of your HotList. If the access point at the top of your HotList is not available, OFP will automatically attempt to connect using the next access point on your HotList and so on. If OFP is unable to connect to the internet using any of access points on your HotList, or there are no access points listed on your HotList, you will be asked to select one.
